    ENOUGH ALREADY!
I almost didn’t write today. Just didn’t feel it. Usually the week is filled with all kinds of things going on, but not this week. That’s not to say that the week was dull. It most certainly was not an uneventful week. There was plenty to do…if you like shoveling!
We got snow. Not some snow, three full-windblown blizzards, one after the other. They dumped inch upon inch, piled drift upon drift until what started out as a bit of winter wonderland ended up as a trans-siberian cold front. It wouldn’t stop. The people prayed, offered gifts to their snow gods and took a contract out on that freakin’ groundhog from Puxatauny, but it just kept coming.
There is only so much shoveling you can do. Even if your body can withstand the brutality of the arctic conditions and the back-crippling weight of wet north-atlantic snow, you eventually run out of room to put the stuff. You can pile it only so high.
So, if you’re the kind of person who enjoys crisp, cold air, chilly winter breezes, delicate falling flakes and outdoor activity, then this was a week for you. And stay away from me, you misguided snowflakes! Oh, and take a look at our “Shoreshots” for some snow pics.
Here’s looking up at you, kids
